5 Red Delicious apples, cubed

Easy Crock Pot Apple Butter recipe
Apple butter is a delicious, versatile, and healthy fruit spread made from slow-cooking apples. This oh-so-easy version uses a crock pot to slowly cook apples and spices. The result is a sweet and smooth apple butter that captures the natural sweetness of apples.
Ingredients:
1 lb Granny Smith Apple (or other cooking apples)
¼ c. white sugar
1 c apple cider
cinnamon, cloves, allspice (to taste)
Directions:
Peel, core, and cut apples into small pieces. Place in crock pot and cover with ¼ c. of sugar.
Pour approximately 1 c. aof pple cider over apples.
Sprinkle cinnamon, cloves, and allspice to taste (apr. ½ tsp per 1 lb of apples).
Turn the crock pot on low, and allow to cook for 10-12 hours. The apple butter should be rich, dark brown, and the apples should be completely smooth. To thicken apple butter, cook for the last hour uncovered.
Refrigerate for up to two weeks, or freeze.
Old Fashioned Apple Fritters recipe
These apple fritters are a tasty and traditional treat that everyone will love. Battered apple rings are deep-fried for a dish that takes the natural sweetness of apples and turns it into a decadent and memorable treat.
Ingredients:
2 c. unbleached all-purpose flower
¼ c. sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
4 large apples, peeled and cored
2 quarts of oil for deep frying
½ c. powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
Slice apples into rings, approximately 1/2” thick. Set aside.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt ina medium bowl. In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Slowly stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture and mix until smooth.
Heat oil to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot or skillet. Dip apple slices into batter and drop into hot oil to fry. Turn each apple slice once, and fry until golden. Drain on paper towels, and dust each fritter with powdered sugar.
