Pet Oncology Services

At times, we understand the emotional impact that a diagnosis of cancer on your beloved pet may have. The good news is that pets with cancer more than ever before, helping improve their longevity and quality of life.

Our veterinary oncologist provides consultation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for the diverse types of feline and canine cancer. We provide specific treatment programs for your pet, often improving and extending survival to many months to years of good quality life for pets diagnosed with cancer.

Personalized San Francisco Cancer Treatment

We strive to provide the highest quality patient and cancer care through a multimodal approach. Traditional chemotherapy and radiation therapy, as well as innovative immunotherapies, anti-angiogenic therapies, and surgery, may be prescribed together or individually, depending on the needs of the patient.

Our veterinary oncologist will work with you and your pet to determine the optimal course of action following a thorough evaluation and staging of the disease process, which is often achieved in collaboration with other AIMSS specialists. Consultation appointments last a full hour. Goals for your pet’s care are discussed and thoroughly reviewed since you are considered the most important part of your pet’s care team.

Supportive Care

One reason a cancer diagnosis is upsetting is that often a pet owner’s experience of cancer treatment is based on human medicine, where sometimes the cure seems almost worse than the disease. This is not the case with veterinary cancer care. We will explore treatments that are tolerated easily and are the least invasive. Our mutual concern will be to make sure your pet has a good quality of life after a cancer diagnosis.
